An intense competitor, Matt also
plays baseball, runs track, and is the quarterback
for his school's football team... Matt started
every game at shooting guard for the 2005 Iowa
Mavericks, and was second on the team in points per
game... during the 2005 AAU season, Matt was
named the MVP of the River City Shootout in Omaha,
NE, and made all-tournament teams at the
Mid-American Classic and Rim Rockers Summer Bash... As a sophomore, Matt led his Solon High
School varsity squad in scoring with 18.4 ppg...
Matt was selected to the EIHC All-Conference team,
and ranked #3 in the state (all classes) in free
